Rangpur Zilla School  is my first educational institution, where I attended from 1963 to 1972 and finished my Secondary School Certificate Examination.
Then I went to Dhaka College, Dhaka, Bangladesh from 1972 to 1974 for Higher Secondary Certificate Examination. I have my M. Sc. in Economics (1980) from Jahangirnagar University (JU - 4th Batch, 1975 - 1980), Dhaka, Bangladesh.

After working three years in Bangladesh I came to Norway in 1983 for higher studies. I took my MBA (Siviløkonom) from Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration, Bergen, Norway in 1988. After finishing my studies I have settled down here in Bergen, Norway.

At present, I am working as Advisor to the Director at a psychiatric centre (Bjørgvin distriktspsykiatriske senter) under Helse Bergen HF.
